SandrapuglisiJuly 18, 2014-Hi Gwendalina Carrera. The Xerox WorkCentre 7830/7835/7845/7855 can be turned on by pressing the mail power switch located behind the front cover. Please reference the User Guide.Printer Has Two Power SwitchesThis printer has two power switches. The secondary power switch on the top of the printer, beneath thecontrol panel, controls power only to the electronic components of the printer. The main power switch, located behind the front cover, controls the power into the printer.
Turn on both switches to operate theprinter. First turn on the main power switch behind the front cover, then turn on the secondary switch.I hope that helps.Thanks,Sandy-XRX. Dewayne GroomsDecember 11, 2014-If one of our users sends a print job to our WorkCentre 7835 that calls for an odd sized paper, there is a message in the job asking for the paper size. If we cancel the job, the printer never recovers to start the next print job. The status bar just keeps saying “Processing” We have to shut the printer down and restart it (boot up takes way too long) before it will continue.
It seems that the machine is waiting for a continue message or something to be answered but the message never appears for us to answer it. We use Win7. LauraJuly 2, 2015-Can the Xerox 7855 print colors accurate to: fluorescent or dull pink, fluorescent or dull orange? Whether we use a fluorescent pink marker or regular pink shade, it will come out a purple/blue – almost violet shade.
With orange, whether it’s a fluorescent or dull color, it will come out yellow or a tan shade of yellow. I cannot find online that anyone is having color accuracy problems.
We have been through all the steps, we have had a technician out, we have been told that it just ‘cant’ print those colors which is an odd answer, considering it is new, and considering our last Xerox printer which was older, could. TonyAugust 28, 2015-Hi I have a workstation 7845 and I am trying to copy a 8.5×11 document using the doc feeder long edge (11″) edge first, to the bypass tray 5 onto 11×17 paper and want the copy to have the original orientation to appear in portrait orientation on the copy.
It keeps printing the original in landscape format on the 11×17 paper in the bypass tray, how can I change this so that when the original is copied from the doc feeder, the orientation of the original is not changed to landscape on the copy from the bypass. SirenaSeptember 17, 2015-Hi Cheryl,I have a WC 7835 with a professional finisher. After upgrading to Windows 10, the driver no longer “talks” to the users desktops. For example, before Windows 10 users were able to view the available paper supplies in the “Printer Properties” tab.
Users were also notified via pop-up if resources were not available and print job success/failure/deleted. I have looked all over the driver properties to see if I need to enable a feature but it seems to elude me.Thanks for your help. JillJanuary 25, 2016-We have 4 Xerox Workcentre 7845 printers and every time a toner needs to be changed, we replace it and the machine doesn’t recognize it. Our repair vendor (these machines are less than 6 months old) says to just wait 5-10 minutes and it will recognize themwhich it does, most of the time after at least 5 minutes but up to 10 minutestoday it was over 7 minutes and we ended up just rebooting the printer because that will work, but also takes 5-10 minutes.I find it very hard to believe that we should have to reboot the printer or wait that long for the printer to recognize the toners.
One of the printers already had a replacement hard drive, we have updated firmware on 2 of them and it seems that all 4 of them have them issues with the replacement tonersis that normal for the workcentre printers to need that long to recognize new toners?. LisaAugust 10, 2016-I have a 7835, I have two questions.
The first is when I came in one morning there was a message “immediate overwrite failed, Perform and on demand overwrite immediately” what does this message mean and is there a way to clear it. It isn’t affecting the copier function in anyway it is just annoying having the error message up.My second question is how do I set up auto tray switching, tray 3 and 4 both have letter size paper and I would like it to automatically take from tray 4 when tray 3 is empty during the middle of a large print job. Jean PaulAugust 28, 2016-Hello.We have a problem at our work. We have a Xerox Workcentre 7328 which is continously printing out a very large job, and when we cancel this job and start printing a new one, it automatically comes up in line again. This also happens if we shut it down and start it back up again, aswell as when we plug out the network cord, delete the job and all data saved, and then plug it back in again. We badly need some help trying to force this job not to keep popping up. Any good ideas?Best regards.
Cheryl OtstottAugust 30, 2016-Hi Jean,Thank you for your comment. Please stop the spooler, reboot the computer and then turn the spooler back on if it does not start when you reboot. If it continues then disable the SNMP option in the port and the Advanced Printing features option (You lose nothing by disabling it).
On the PC go into the Printer Properties Ports Configure Port and uncheck the 2 boxes at bottom for LPR byte counting and SNMP and click OK. Then under the Advanced Tab of the Printer properties remove the check mark from the option Enable advanced printing features and select ok. If the problem continues contact your.Thanks,CherylO-Xerox.

Read the User Manual and per the instructions I did the fax setting for it to print confirmation from the control panel and via the web but it will not save the changes. You have to do it at the time of the fax or it does not print a confirmation.
Also it is consistently asking to confirm Tray 1 where it at one time had envelopes but we changed and put plain 8 1/2 x 11 paper and set the trays accordingly but it still ask for it. Can you help.
Cheryl OtstottJanuary 24, 2017-Hi Kathryn,Thank you for reading the At Your Service blog. Yes you can unplug the machine and disconnect the network cable and wait about 60 seconds. Plug the power cord back in and see if the machine will boot up. If it does turn it off again and reconnect the network cable.
If it does not power up properly with the Network cable plugged in try another cable and / or call your IT department for assistance with the network. If the machine does not boot after unplugging and plugging back in then please consider contacting your for additional assistance.Thanks,CherylO-Xerox. RustyApril 6, 2017-We have a 7845 that we have 8.5×11 paper in tray 3. However, to get tray 3 to hold that size paper, the guide locks at A4. Removing all paper, the guide will lock at 8.5×11. When stock is added, the space is about 1/4″ too short. Releasing the guide, adding paper and trying to “lock” the guide will only register A4.
This is the first time we have had any problem with loading paper. What could have caused the problem to start, and how can I fix it?Thanks in advance for the assist!. RustyApril 13, 2017-We have a 7845 which has 11×17, 8.5×14 and standard 8.5×11 dedicated paper trays. The tray holding 8.5×11 paper “suddenly” won’t register 8.5×11, rather when 8.5×11 paper is inserted in the tray and the paper guides are adjusted to the page, the system registers (“reads”) A4 size.
Removing the paper and re-setting the guides to 8.5×11 and closing the tray (empty) the system will register 8.5×11. The paper however, will not fit in the space, being approx. 1/4″-1/2″ too short, causing the pages to have to curl to fit – which obviously doesn’t work. Adjusting the guides to fit the paper causes the system to register A4 – meaning all standard print jobs stall in the queue waiting for resources, since the applications are set for 8.5×11 paper.
We are in the US, so we have no “A” sizes of paper, only “English” measurements as noted. None of the other trays have problems with paper sizes/registration.How do I adjust the guides so they will register the size of paper that is installed?Thank you for your assistance. Cheryl OtstottApril 26, 2017-Hi hanene,Thank you for reading the At Your Service blog. Please turn the machine off and unplug the machine.
Wait for 60 seconds and then plug the machine back in to a dedicated outlet, no surge protector or power strip, and turn it back on. If the machine powers on normally then if you were using a strip or surge protector there may be a problem with it. If the machine still has an error try.
If this does not help please consider contacting your.Thanks,CherylO-Xerox. Cheryl OtstottMay 19, 2017-Hi Milton,Thank you for reading the blog. Sieg CropperAugust 18, 2017-Hoping you can helpwe are having an intermittent issue with our Xerox WorkCentre whereby when a fax is received it prints some pages as portrait and others as landscape. Sometimes all the pages are printed in landscape when it should be portrait (both the sending fax and receiving fax are set to portrait). Sometimes all of the pages are printed in portrait as they should be, and sometimes 1 or more are printed in portrait and the rest in landscape.
When the error is found a second fax is sent and most times it comes out as portrait only as it should. I am scratching my head on this one. Cheryl OtstottJanuary 9, 2018-Hi Cameron,Thank you for reading the At Your Service blog.
You need to check the setting in Excel. Select Print in the Excel document you want to print. You should see page setup at the bottom of the screen.
